Just into France we decided to stop at a remote place called Hastiere lock, in the picture the barrage is to the left and Waterdog is in the canal cut going to the lock so is higher than the river. We enjoyed 2 peaceful nights here and a lovely hot day. In the morning we walked 3km to the little town of Hastiere and then, in the heat of the day, went swimming in the canal to cool off.

The tunnel at Revin seems really rough on the inside but was big enough and light enough to not be too worrying. The sides were really rough and discouraged you from steering too close or sliding/scraping along one side as you can in other tunnels.
